ANNOUNCEMENT

As of the first Wednesday of 2018 I have launched a brand new blog site. I would encourage all my current followers to click the link below and come check it out. It's bigger and better than ever!

“My top 10 favourite Australian comedians”

If you wanna know what keeps me smiling and laughing most days… its comedy! Stand-up or sit coms. I swear when people say that laughter is the best medicine, I believe it’s absolutely one hundred percent true! I am someone who loves a good laugh. It’s the number one thing I look for in a potential partner. It’s what I watch on YouTube most nights when I’m bored, lonely or sad. I swear it just makes me feel better. Comedy is so great because it reminds us not to take life so seriously which is a mistake I make sometimes. It reminds us that sometimes it’s better to make fun ourselves and the world we live in. if you also notice, comedy is a great platform for comedians to talk about important issues happening around the world or things that most humans can relate to, in a humorous manner. With the state of the world we live in today (aka; Donald Trump is the leader of the free world and people are afraid of all Muslims because of one Islamic terrorist group etc.) it is often ver

“To everyone who voted no: Thank you”

As I write this I am smiling so hard that my cheeks hurt, I have a tear in my eye and a happy heart. It is coming to an epic conclusion in Australia 2017. I was talking to my dad about this the other day; despite the fact that we disagreed with the many people who argued against saying yes and tried to amend the bill to let celebrants discriminate against marrying gay couples. Despite the people who voted no; it was actually a good thing that we had resistance. The reason being, we had a reason to

“But I choose to dance anyway”

There have been many instances where the opportunity to quit had been wide open. I could have quit at 9; when I realised that half way through a lesson, my feet were getting so tired I had to take a break. I could have quit at 13; when doctors offered me a walking frame to assist me everywhere I went. I could have quit at 14; when it was clear that for the rest of my life I would be dependent on a wheelchair. I could probably quit right now because even in a wheelchair I still get tired and I know that my dance technique is not on par with the rest of my class. Of course, I know this. I am not oblivious… but I choose to dance anyway. I truly believe there is something magical about the feeling you get when performing up on stage. It’s a feeling that is difficult to describe and even harder to know unless you are some kind of performer yourself; whether that be an actor, a musician, a vocalist or a dancer like me. The feeling of performing on stage is gratifying in many way
