ANNOUNCEMENT

As of the first Wednesday of 2018 I have launched a brand new blog site. I would encourage all my current followers to click the link below and come check it out. It's bigger and better than ever!

“Of all the times to be admitted”

- A continuation of the last blog. The day things took a massive turn was Good Friday. What a coincidence! That morning, the head doctor of my Maxicillo facial team came in and wildly suggested I get up and start eating and drinking. Like me, dad (who was staying with me at the time) thought this a bit too much too soon. But Dr Heggy insisted. I remember shaking my head at dad and he bent down next to me and told me I can do this. he said; come on! my dad is good like that. So, I had a bed bath and then got up. For the first time, I actually saw what my room looked like and it was a pleasant surprise. I had this incredible view of the city, my own bathroom and desk. It’s like a hotel room. Dad had a couch by the window that he slept on. That morning I drank some water for the first time which was magnificent. “The early days were the hardest”

So, it’s been what?... 2 weeks since I’ve posted a blog. Yeah since my last blog Ive been busy getting ready for the last SACs of this term (and of the year). Then, just this past week, ive had that god-awful flu virus that was going around last season, only I happen to get it at the beginning of spring. Wut? Anyway, been too sick to do anything and am still home from school today but I figured it’s been too long since I’ve written anything. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the first part of this blog detailing the day I went in: "I was not nervous in the slightest" When I woke up from surgery, I had pretty much no concept of time or space for about four days. I was just in and out of sleep at random intervals. I just know that when I was awake, I didn’t want to be. And not in li

“A beautiful and gentle soul”

It’s a sad day when a family pet dies. Particularly one that has been a part of the family for many years. Our beautiful Bonnie was way more than just our pet dog, she was a loyal companion and best friend. I know that a lot of people who have dogs will say exactly the same thing, which is why I don’t expect you to feel this the way I feel about Bonnie’s passing but at least you may be able to relate. We are all aware of the fact that most dogs are loyal and friendly creatures, but because I’m biased I’m just put this out there; Bonnie is one of a kind. She was a beautiful and gentle soul with the emotional intelligence of a human being. Bonnie was first rescued from a puppy farm and found to have been in such a state that the Shelta owners were just about to put her down before my Nana and one of her granddaughters adopted her. Bonnie grew up in Nana’s house which was on the Gympie farm property owned by her eldest son. She was a Border Collie – Poodle, a true farm dog. S
